The building today stands on the site of the U Mojžíšů house, dating back to the 14th century. In the 18th century, it was decorated with a house sign and lent its name to the U Modrého hroznu (At the Blue Grape) café, a favorite meeting place of the contemporary art scene, which, according to the historical record, was also frequented by Mozart. At the end of the 19th and early 20th century, the original building was torn down and on its spot a new four-story house was built in a Neo-Baroque style.
